News & EventsPillar in the Community: Pillar Sponsors Woolyungah for the National Indigenous Games

Pillar has donated $1,500 to Wollongong University’s Woolyungah Indigenous Centre to send a team of students to the 13th National Indigenous Tertiary Education Student Games (NITESG). Nyssa Murray (centre), who is currently undertaking a National Indigenous Cadetship Program with Pillar, is a member of the Woolyungah team.

Representatives from the Centre, Nyssa Murray and Rob Evitt, met with Pillar CEO Peter Beck to accept the cheque.

The National Indigenous Games will be held in Perth from 16th to 19th September, and Pillar’s donation will help send ten students from Wollongong University to the Games. Teams will converge to play mixed team sports, including basketball, netball, touch football, volleyball as well as an Indigenous cultural game.
